Disable Startup Programs in Windows PC
The more
software you install in your PC, the longer time it may take to start up
Windows. Many programs automatically add themselves to the list of programs
that started when you boot your computer; Such as anti-virus, firewall software,
audio manager, Graphics card drivers, different utility manager, Skype, Bijoy
Bayanno, Avro etc. Most of the programs, starting with boot-up just wastes
resources and extends startup time. The msconfig.exe tool allows you to quickly
and easily see what programs running at startup. You may disable the programs
you prefer to run at your own need after startup.
To run msconfig.exe,
open the Start menu and type “msconfig.exe” in the Search box. When you see
“msconfig.exe” in the search result, click on it. (shown in the following image)
Click the
Startup tab on the System Configuration main window (Just like following Image).
All startup programs are shown with tick mark in the check box located just in
the left side of the related programs.
To disable unnecessary startup programs just
clear the tick mark by clicking in the related check box. Finally Click on
Apply and then OK button to save your change. Restart your PC and that’s all.
No unnecessary programs will be start automatically with boot up in next time.
